The converting/package printing industry's biennial show is expected to draw nearly 30,000 visitors to Chicago's McCormick Place in mid-April. Featuring 400,000 sq ft of exhibit space with more than 1,000 exhibitors, the international CMM show has the support of 23 associations, including several packaging groups.
A three-day conference program will also run concurrently with the show and features 25 sessions, including two complimentary value-added sessions. Conference topics range from in-depth technical sessions to broad-based management sessions.
According to a survey of 2001 visitors, 73 percent said they used the show as a catalyst for research on the latest technical advances and planned to make purchases as a result of their attendance. Eighty-three percent of the surveyed attendees also participated in an educational session.
For the first time this year, the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) is launching a packaging pavilion within the CMM show.
