The co.’s stretch hood® pallet packaging system is designed to incorporate the strengths of conventional stretch wrapping and shrinking methods without the drawbacks. Material consumption has reportedly been reduced by up to 40 percent compared to shrink wrapping, and the machine handles up to 180 packages/hr. The film hood's welding seam lies flat on the packaged product to ensure easier stacking and storage, says the co. An “understretch” technique is used to fasten the hood to the pallet securely.
