Robotic layer picker

A new layer picking tool uses a combination of vacuum and clamping technology to handle 95 percent of consumer products on the market today, including corrugated or boxboard cases, shrink-wrap products, bottles, tubs and open trays. Patterns with voids and tier sheets are also handled with ease. By incorporating new tooling, the layer picking system can pick up multiple layers at once, and pick and place entire pallet loads. The tooling is used in conjunction with the company's high-speed gantry systems.
