The company has launched Steri-Shield tamper-evident, linerless plug closures intended for extended shelf life and aseptic beverages. The closure features a taller profile than its non-TE counterpart to provide brand owners a different appearance. The design, according to the company, creates an effective cap-to-bottle seal without using a liner, fits well with the bottle finish inner surface to create an effective seal, and withstands tough filling conditions and aseptic sterilization environments. In addition, the manufacturer reports the plug closure is easy to open and offers a tall profile for enhanced aesthetics. Choose from 38-mm and 43-mm versions.
