New E700 compact variable-frequency drive replaces its nearly decade-old E500 model, and features new technology that has been developed, the co. says. Though it will be simple for E500 users to move to the new model, the co. notes, advantages including superior dynamic performance and an improved speed range, with 200-percent motor torque now possible at 0.5 Hz. This gives the E700 a smooth, open-loop speed range of 120:1, plus more interoperability, a simple interface via a dedicated USB port, remote operation, RoHS compliance and maintenance free use.
