The co.’s Si Programmer™ Windows®-based software version 2.5 14 is said to support seven Simple Indexer-compatible stepper drives, including the new STAC6 drive, plus three Si-compatible servo drives. The new programmer reportedly provides out-of-the-box use with integrated tuning for intuitive programming and a point-and-click graphical interface that combines motion, I/O and operator interface functionality for simple machine sequencing, resulting in easy integration of Si-compatible drives with other devices on a machine, including sensors and PLCs. The Si Programmer is also said to generate the actual motion-control program based on user-selected parameters, thereby eliminating syntax errors, with programs easily downloaded, uploaded, saved and printed.
