Article-Emergency stop

A new fiberoptic emergency stop button is developed for use with the co.'s PICO-GUARDâ„¢ controller and other optical elements in personnel-safety and equipment-protection applications. Used with its plastic fiberoptic cable, the button reportedly offers a simple, quick means of connecting and disconnecting the fiber. The co. says the E-Stop Button is rated IP65, complies with ANSI NFPA 79 and IEC 60204-1 e-stop requirements and lists at $160.
