EarthAware™, a line of eco-friendly bag film materials for AirPouch® void-fill packing systems, features a biodegradable film that is a durable, LLDPE with a proprietary additive that causes biodegradation in 9 months to 5 years, depending on exposure conditions. Material performance properties and shelf life remain intact, as biodegradation only occurs when in contact with other biodegrading material, such as the conditions found in landfills, home and commercial composting. The biodegradable pillows are available in a standard green tint for customer awareness. The Express 3 void-fill system produces air pillows on-demand in continuous strips that can be torn away quickly and easily for fast, clean packing operations. The tabletop void-fill unit requires no compressed air and is compact.
