Triad is a new barrier, solventless overwrap that was developed using metallocene-based sealant chemistry. The sealant layer bonds to foil without the use of solvent or water-based materials. The overwrap is an extrusion-coated lamination of polyester, foil and metallocene, which has been engineered to provide an exceptionally strong hermetic weld seal in high-speed, chemically-sensitive, pharmaceutical applications, the co. states. Uses are applications such as blow/fill/seal unit-dose containers for inhalation therapy or diagnostic kits.
