FPA announces keynote speakers for annual meeting
The 2010 Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) Annual Meeting to be held March 10-12 in Orlando, FL, will include keynote presentations from Andrew Sorkin, The New York Times' chief mergers and acquisitions reporter and author of Too Big to Fail: How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System - and Themselves; Chunka Mui, a business consultant and best-selling author of Billion-Dollar Lessons, What You Can Learn from the Most Inexcusable Business Failures of the Last 25 Years; and, Tim Wilson, development manager for Meijer, who will discuss Buying Trends from the Retailers' Perspective.

 

BinMaster Level Controls appoints sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean
BinMaster Level Controls has appointed Doris Sotelo sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. Sotelo speaks multiple languages and has almost years of international sales experience in Latin America as well as Asia, where she has been responsible for developing dealer and distributor networks and providing sales support in the telecommunications industry. She will be responsible for expanding BinMaster sales in the territory and growing and supporting BinMaster's distributor network in the region.

 

ICCS formed to support modernization of federal law regulating chemicals
The Illinois Coalition for Chemical Safety (ICCS), a non-profit, non-partisan group, has been launched to support modernization of the U.S. system for regulating the use of chemicals. ICCS will be building its membership and educating the public and elected officials about the importance of a strong, innovative, properly regulated chemical industry. The group currently consists of Illinois businesses, unions, consumer groups, and other organizations, including the Illinois Manufacturers' Association, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Mechanical Contractors.

DDL names product and material division manager
DDL, a supplier of medical device package, product and material testing, has promoted Mark Francis to division manager of its product and material testing division. Francis has a bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and a master's degree in business from the University of Illinois.
