The co.'s P.MM intermittent-motion horizontal cartoner runs at speeds between 25 and 140 strokes/min. Erects cartons via an articulated twin blade that is inserted into the carton, ensuring positive prebreaking and allowing low grammage board to be used. The co. says perfect product introduction, even for irregular shapes or dimensions, is guaranteed by insertion of a moveable mouthpiece inside the carton, avoiding any uncontrolled passage of product from bucket to carton, and spring-loaded guides automatically close during the return stroke of the pusher. The system also has Mechanical Memory® that simplifies and accelerates changeover.
