If you’ve ever been to a Pack Expo, just think “plastics” and you’ll get an idea of the breadth and depth of the new products, machinery, services, and packaging at the triennial National Plastics Exposition.

In short, NPE2024 held May 6 to 10 hosted 2,000 exhibitors and 50,000-plus attendees at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

We scoured the show to uncover examples of exemplary food and beverage packaging. In fact, we found so many that we’ve focused this roundup on those involving PET, which is the most widely recycled plastic in the US at around 30%.

Among the finds are a DIY tray-seal integrity check and PET advancements in food and beverages including wine.
