The World Packaging Organisation’s annual WorldStar awards for packaging innovation represent packaging breakthroughs from around the globe.

Even qualifying for the competition is no small feat: all packages entered for WorldStars have already been recognized by their home countries. It’s the best of the best in packaging, with this year’s awards seeing a record-breaking 488 entries from 41 countries.

The 2023 WorldStar winners were celebrated in a May 6 ceremony at Messe Düsseldorf during the interpack tradeshow where 140 companies from a total of 228 winners were present to receive their trophies.

“These numbers confirm that WorldStar is the most prestigious and important packaging award on the globe, and interpack was the perfect place to award these incredible packages,” said Soha Atallah, WorldStar Coordinator and WPO Vice President of Events.

We’ve narrowed those down to 10 food and beverage packaging designs optimized with functionality and sustainability.
