German food manufacturer Ernst Nowka GmbH & Co. KG is using a 1062 ml Thermic Ultra foodservice jar from RPC Kutenholz, to introduce 2.4 L varieties of its sweet-sour vegetable specialties, such as gherkins and squashes. The packaged products are marketed worldwide, with the main export countries being Canada, Russia, Holland, Belgium, Denmark and Spain. The extrusion blow molded container with its PP/EVOH/PP barrier construction, provides a strong oxygen barrier and enables a clear view of the contents inside. RPC says the wide-month jars are made from a special, high transparency material that allows a clear view of the contents and has the same optical qualities as glass, while offering the convenience of plastic.
