For example, of the 10 recalls reported in September by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), four were due to packaging errors. Three of those were because of mislabeling associated with undeclared allergens; the fourth was due to contamination. The four appear in order of most recent with associated imagery below.
Green Valley Foods Recalls Frozen Meat Pizza Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens
Green Valley Foods, a Devils Lake, ND establishment, is recalling approximately 4,062 pounds of frozen meat pizza products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product contains soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
The frozen meat pizzas were produced from September 20, 2022, through September 20, 2023, and may contain the lot codes 2632 through 2633.

A public health alert was issued for a ready-to-eat (RTE) Kirkland Signature chicken tortilla soup product due to misbranding. The label declares the product as gluten-free, which is a false negative claim. The public health alert was made to ensure that consumers with reactions to gluten are aware that these products should not be consumed.
A recall was not requested because the affected products are no longer available for purchase. The ready-to-eat chicken tortilla soup items were produced on July 26, 2023.

Custom Made Meals, LLC, a Denver, Col. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,345 pounds of products labeled as Bacon-Wrapped BBQ Seasoned Chicken Grillers. However, the packaging contains Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Peppers Stuffed with Cream Cheese. The product contains milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
