Squid Ink Brings New Technology to Large Character DOD Printing

March 24, 2014, MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., a leading manufacturer of superior quality inks and ink jet equipment, introduces the new Jetline ink jet printing system. The Jetline offers users more versatility for printing high quality marks on a variety of products at a cost-effective price.

The Jetline is available as a water-based system for printing on porous surfaces like corrugated cases, non-coated paper products, gypsum board, and more. No matter what product needs to be printed, Jetline has the functionality to get the job done right, making it an ideal solution for manufacturers and contract packagers alike.

The Jetline is upgraded with software features that coding and marking users need most: virtually unlimited message memory, user definable time and date, expiration date, and sequential code printing, as well as a shift organizer to automatically separate and code different work shifts within a user’s packaging operation. The Jetline also comes standard with a shaft encoder input for packagers using a variable speed conveyer.

The Jetline is designed to work as an integral part of user’s day-to-day packaging operation. Jetline’s new full color touchscreen provides access to the system’s internal messages and print functions, a feature that is unique to dot matrix technology. Messages are created and edited on Squid Ink’s easy-to-use Orion™ PC Software and transferred via Ethernet or USB device. For larger applications, multiple Jetline printing systems can be connected via Ethernet and controlled through one central Orion™ print station.

The Jetline utilizes Squid Ink’s patented microchanneling technology, eliminating the need for a costly array of fluid valves. Squid Ink’s proven plunger technology distributes ink through a series of channels, keeping production and maintenance costs to a minimum, especially when compared to the costly valve technology common in most ink jet printers today. As the newest addition to Squid Ink’s growing family of marking and coding systems, the Jetline gives users more choices for their coding applications.

The Jetline is engineered inside and out for industrial strength operation. UL, CE, and CSA certified (pending), the Jetline features a durable touchscreen, heavy-duty high impact nylon cabinetry construction, and proven operation in the most extreme factory environments. In addition, the water-based Jetline utilizes Squid Ink’s patented SQ-60™ no-clog ink, allowing users to leave the ink in their printheads for an extended period of time without flushing or cleaning. Users can be confident that Jetline’s rugged design will withstand the most abusive industrial environments while providing superior quality print.

The Jetline is available now through Squid Ink’s worldwide network of authorized distributors. Sales inquiries should be directed to Joshua Nelson, Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., 7041 Boone Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN 55428. 1-800-877-5658. [email protected]
