Coding system

The co. offers customized versions of the Pharmacarton Coding System (PCS) to medical and nutriceutical companies. These customizations include variations in product handling, vision-inspection systems, print location and multiple-reject options. The variations could include simple print presence detection to complete downline track and trace solutions. The coding system is designed for in-line, high-resolution, digital printing of lot, expiration and bar codes for pharmaceutical and medical cartons. The PCS offers true ANSI/ISO on-line bar-code-grading functions that provide a tool to quality bar code print and readability. This turnkey system combines a precision conveyor with a synchronized top holddown belt for horizontal printing or side hold belts for vertical printing. The system is integrated with a Wolke M600 thermal ink-jet printer, which utilizes Hewlett-Packard disposable ink-jet technology, a SeaVision OCV character verification system and a reject station. This fully integrated module provides pharmaceutical/medical manufacturers with an easy-to-operate, flexible system to meet a variety of coding requirements.
