Hammer Packaging (www.hammerpackaging.com) won nine awards in the 35th International Gallery of Superb Printing competition, produced by the International Assn. of Printing House Craftsmen (IAPHC). The IAPHC awards are recognized globally as one of the highest honors given in the graphic design and print industry. Hammer received the following awards: Gold: Fruitopia; JoJo Energy; and Chadwick Bay Grape Juice; Silver: Ovaltine, Cell-Nique and Nika Water; Bronze: Snapple Tea; and Honorable Mention: XO Energy; and Arctic Power.

Shrink sleeve labels brought in more than half of the awards for Hammer, including gold winner Chadwick Bay and silver winner Ovaltine, both of which featured Hammer's variable-sleeve offset printing (VSOP) technology. JoJo Energy, XO Energy and Cellnique labels, as well as Nika Water's p-s label, were printed on a Nilpeter USA Inc. (www.nilpeter.com) flexo press. Fruitopia's and Snapple Tea's cut-and-stack labels and Arctic Power's in-mold labels were printed on a Heidelberg USA (www.us.heidelberg.com) press. Says Kevin Keane, president of IAPHC: “Our event has been the beneficiary of seeing the growth of Hammer Packaging in terms of technical execution, range of product and services. Label printing has become high art as presented by their entries.”
