Coesia, a global industrial and packaging solutions company, has acquired a minority share in PWR (Packaging with Robots), provider of automated robotic packaging systems for the food Industry. Coesia will expand its portfolio and with full-line automated packaging solutions using robotics and vision systems that improve productivity and flexibility in complex production environments.

PWR serves food industry segments including bakery, confectionery, snacks, and pet food. The company specializes in automated packaging solutions using large multi-robot lines using vision systems and pick-and-place technology. The company will join Coesia companies ACMA, Volpak, R.A Jones, and FlexLink (see links for related articles). It will share and gain shared knowledge and expertise, potentially expanding into personal care and e-commerce applications.

The partnership extends the companies’ collective geographical reach. Coesia is based in Bologna, Italy. PWR is based in Bellshill, UK with operations in Ede, Netherlands. It has historically focused on Europe and Australia, and now seeks growth in North America, by leveraging Coesia's experience and infrastructure to facilitate expansion.  

During the upcoming Fachpack and PPMA industry shows in September 2024, PWR will join the Coesia booth to showcase the combined portfolio and technological advancements.
