Oliver-Tolas Healthcare Packaging and Mangar Medical Packaging expect their recent merger to “provide customers with access to additional products, technologies, and levels of service without having to diversify their supply base,” reports Jody Beeck, Marketing and Product Manager, Oliver-Tolas Healthcare Packaging.

For instance, “customers of Mangar now have access to Oliver-Tolas’s Xhale and SealScience heat seal coatings and the engineering expertise of OnSite Services. Oliver-Tolas’s customers will benefit from expanded manufacturing capacity and Mangar’s best-in-class pouch making capabilities,” she tells PMP News.

Combining such capabilities and technologies is expected to “generate unique resources for added innovations and synergies within our pouch product lines,” Beeck continues. And “combining Mangar’s pouch-making expertise with Oliver-Tolas’s investments in its China operation will propel expansion of our pouch offerings globally.”

Sean Dwyer, VP of Sales and Marketing, Oliver-Tolas Healthcare Packaging, adds, “It’s exciting to offer our combined capabilities to our global healthcare customers. Together we can deliver a broad range of flexible sterile barrier packaging solutions, responsive local service, and tailored technical services.”

Customers can also expect “continued customer focus of the combined organization as best practices are shared globally,” Dwyer says.

No immediate changes are expected for sales, customer service, technical service, and production at Mangar and Oliver-Tolas sites. Beeck says that the companies’ Feasterville and New Britain locations will continue to serve customers as converting operations. “Oliver-Tolas and Mangar teams globally will explore opportunities to provide specialized packaging solutions to customers moving forward,” she says.

Tom Jeziorski, Director of Global Sales, Mangar, explains: “Mangar and Oliver-Tolas together will be a valued industry partner to global healthcare companies. The opportunity to share knowledge between the experienced teams will allow us to better serve medical device manufacturers. From the combination of proprietary and trusted adhesive technologies and innovative products to the personalized technical services and experienced team members, Mangar and Oliver-Tolas are positioned to provide unparalleled value for our customers.”

At the upcoming MD&M East 2016 show June 14-16, Oliver-Tolas in Booth #1739 will share the progress of several innovative pouch projects and programs as well as cost-effective coated rollstock materials. And Mangar in Booth #1757 plans to announce the validation of an innovative printing capability for mounting cards, Beeck reports.
