Sterile Medical Packaging Earns Praise
On March 10, 2021, dozens and dozens of posts on social media lauded the critical job of sterile medical packaging in helping to keep patients safe. Here are some touching memories.
The first Sterile Medical Packaging Day — organized by the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC) and celebrated on March 10, 2021 — helped people learn more about sterile packaging and the critical role it plays in our health and well-being.
That day, the medical packaging community actively shared stories on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn about the people and packages that protect medical devices and supplies.

"We are celebrating Sterile Packaging Day by giving thanks to our employees who contribute to sterile packaging! This video highlights the work of Moniroth Tourt, 2nd Shift Line Lead at QTS! While we could not make a video for every contributor, know that we are grateful for each and every employee who takes part in maintaining the high integrity and quality standards of our sterile packaging at QTS!"
Packaging Compliance Labs LLC celebrated SPMC’s Sterile Packaging Day by creating a video asking members of their leadership team what sterile packaging means to them (see video above). PCL also committed to donating cleaning supplies to Cherry Health, a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a primary focus of providing high-quality health services to those who have little or no access to health care.
