The winners of the fifth-annual Designalytics Effectiveness Awards competition, comprising 10 consumer packaged goods (CPG) redesigns, demonstrate the power of packaging design to drive sales growth.
Unlike other pack-design awards programs, the Designalytics competition is 100% data-driven, with the selection of winners based on in-market sales performance and quantitative consumer testing.
The competition, offered in partnership with Dieline, this year received hundreds of submissions for food, beverage, personal-care, and home-care package redesigns. All launched in the United States between July 2021 and September 2023.
The winning designs represent a variety of brand owners, ranging from global CPG companies like Procter & Gamble and Unilever to craft food/beverage companies.
All of the winners experienced year-over-year sales increases after rolling out their redesigns, with nearly half enjoying increases of 20% to 30%.
