People have adapted the traditional yard-and-house decorating extravaganza of the Christmas holidays to Halloween, replacing the red-and-greens of the former with the oranges-and-black of the latter. Displays range from cutesy pumpkins and kid-friendly cloth ghosts hanging from trees to dark and creepy where entire front yards are turned into a ghoulish graveyard.
