It was with little fanfare that the end of the day on June 30 concluded the first half of 2022.

However, we at Packaging Digest did recognize the milestone. That was our cue to check website metrics and see what features, slideshow galleries, video embeds, and podcasts our audience of packaging professionals and others found of greatest interest the past six months. It identifies what content was on-trend, must reading. In this review, we uncover the seven most popular packaging design stories that exceeded a certain analytics milestone .

From our view, design is deeper and more complex than just looks and graphics; materials, structure, components, and other aspects are also an integral part of a “package deal” that defines packaging design.

These range in diversity from wirelessly powered packaging to Frito-Lay’s “packaging experiment” to Amazon’s revved-up ecommerce designs and more.
