Combining PTFE-coated aluminum foil with an adhesive backing, the co. has created a tape for heat sealing and other applications. The tape, designated DW 351, is used with high-volume heat-sealing equipment and as wearstrips in light-duty applications. The coated tape is backed with a high-temperature, p-s silicone adhesive, which provides abrasion-resistance and high tensile strength, the co. states. A silicone-adhesive backing allows the tape to release cleanly from metal and ceramic surfaces and even rough or inconsistent surfaces. The product is provided in 18-yd rolls and can be supplied in widths from ½- to 12 in.
