An 'edutaining' quiz

Answer the multiple-choice questions correctly—and quickly, because the game is timed—and you have a chance to win an iPod. Games and fun activities have long been recognized as great methods for teaching children. But it is only more recently that the term "edutainment" was coined to reflect the many interactive web-based games that can teach math, reading skills and even concepts.

Our quiz will be new every month and will include multiple resources for learning more about the topics in the questions. As you answer each question, the game tells you immediately if you are right or wrong, and offers a brief explanation of the answer. You are also offered the option of clicking through to a more detailed explanation of the topic. At the end of the quiz, our game emcee, Bob, will reveal your score—a weighted compilation of question difficulty and answer speed—and ask you if you would like to register to win the iPod.
