Barry-Wehmiller to Use Cornerstone OnDemand for Workforce
January 29, 2014
Cornerstone OnDemand Inc., a leader in on-demand, integrated talent management software and services, today announced that Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc., a diversified global capital equipment supplier and engineering consulting services firm, will implement Cornerstone’s learning and performance solutions throughout its organization. The St. Louis-based company, which has more than 50 offices in Europe, Asia and the Americas, will deploy Cornerstone to its 5,200 team members worldwide in an effort to foster growth and development of the company’s workforce.
Barry-Wehmiller has leveraged strategic acquisitions and organic growth initiatives to emerge dominant in four areas of expertise: packaging automation equipment; corrugating and sheeting equipment; paper converting equipment; and IT and engineering consulting. The company unifies its nine divisions under a shared commitment to exceeding customer expectations with superior communication and world-class service – values which are outlined in the organization’s Guiding Principles of Leadership. In order to support these principles, the company needed an efficient, simplified and cost-effective way to align performance and learning goals across the company.
“Investing in a comprehensive talent management solution provides us with the tools we need to not only empower, challenge and inspire our employees, but also to drive innovation across the company,” said Scott Kennington, Director of Professional Development and Training, Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. “Cornerstone’s user-friendly interface and integrated functionality will make it much easier for us to engage users and gain the insight we need to be more strategic in the development of our team members. We also will be able to continuously monitor the progress and results of our talent management initiatives using Cornerstone’s reports and dashboards.”
For Barry-Wehmiller, another benefit in choosing Cornerstone was its multi-tenant, multi-user Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery. SaaS allows for a faster, more efficient way of deploying, managing and maintaining talent management systems, without the hassles of version upgrades and maintenance and IT costs.
“Now more than ever, it is critical for companies such as Barry-Wehmiller to nurture their most important assets – their employees,” said Adam Miller, President and CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand. “Our Software-as-a-Service model is a secure, cost effective and highly scalable way for companies to deploy talent management solutions within their organizations. And because we’ve developed our platforms organically, our system is truly integrated to provide users with the most value.”
