Introduced to neutralize and remove corrosive elements in the air around stored parts without using chemical, INTERCEPT® SPS material is described as HDPE film infused with metallic copper particles and activated carbon and is reportedly nonhazardous. The copper acts as a natural biocide that kills any acid-producing bacteria, mold or fungus that may be present. The co. cites a proven storage life of 20+ years in normal warehouse conditions, supplying the material in tote-sized bags, as shrink and stretch film and as flat stock.
