Developed for hostile environments are the new, reportedly very economical and rugged MINI-EYE™ miniature photoelectric sensors. Said to be water-resistant and enclosed in high-impact plastic housings, the sensors are immune to indirect ambient light and strobes, the co. says, and are available in thru-beam, retroreflective and proximity models, with either infrared or red LED light sources and NPN or PNP output transistors, for web-break detection, counting, inspection, orientation and other functions.
