Sunbelt Bakery Simple Granola

Sunbelt Bakery Simple GranolaSunbelt Bakery, a maker of nutritious snacks and cereals, announced the addition of "Simple Granola" cereal to its line of preservative free-granola cereals.

"We are committed to giving consumers cereals that deliver a bakery-fresh taste and are completely preservative free," says Sunbelt Bakery Brand Manager Jeff Badger. "Simple Granola does that, and is perfect for eating by the handful, in a bowl with milk, or on top of yogurt."

Simple Granola delivers a nutritious start to the day for people who are health conscious. It provides protein, whole-grain oats, and is an excellent source of fiber and iron. This back-to-basics granola with a hint of brown sugar is preservative free and contains no high fructose corn syrup or trans fat.

"We believe our consumers will find Simple Granola a smart addition to our existing cereal line," says Badger. "It offers a new taste we believe cereal eaters will love."

Simple Granola cereal will join the Sunbelt Bakery cereal family alongside Banana Nut, Fruit & Nut, and Low Fat. The four cereals will be sold at a suggested retail price of $2.79. The product can be found in the cereal aisle or in the granola or snack food aisle alongside other Sunbelt Bakery products nationwide.

The granola cereals are the first line of products to take on the new Sunbelt Bakery name, logo and brand packing that is phasing in throughout 2012.

"Sunbelt Bakery is still the same family-owned bakery it has been for over 30 years," said Badger. "We simply decided that the new name better reflects who we are and our products."
