New EarthFirst TDO shrink film from Plastic Works has been added to the co.'s line of shrink films, which include PVC, PETG and OPS. The new film is made from NatureWorks PLA corn-based resin, meaning that it is environmentally friendly and compostable. The film is heat-shrinkable and is recommended for virtually any shrink-sleeve label project. According to the co., EarthFirst displays many of the same characteristics as more traditional shrink films, including excellent machinability, clarity, printability (up to 10 colors gravure or modified flexo) and shrinkage (up to 75 percent).
