Now available are PP-based resin grades that can withstand temperatures as low as -40 deg F. Pro-fax EP390S (pictured) high-impact, opaque PP copolymer resin and Clyrell EC140R transparent polyolefin resin are now offered for use in injection-molded tubs, trays and cups ranging from 4 oz to 1.65 L. Pro-fax EP390S offers a 35-deg/min melt flow with exceptional drop-test characteristics, the co. says. Clyrell EC140R provides a combination of random and impact copolymer advantages, exhibiting good transparency and impact, high gloss and high melt-flow (30 deg/min) properties, as well as resistance to stress whitening. Both can withstand microwave temperatures and are dishwasher-safe.
