Developed for current (torque) control of brushless servo motors is the Model 800-1514 dual-axis servo amplifier. The amplifier reportedly accepts encoder and Hall feedback data from a wide range of servo-motor types, including Yaskawa Sigma-Mini and Panasonic Minas-A, with drive torque controlled by a 10-v command from a motion controller or a PLC. The co. claims that commissioning Model 800-1514 is fast and simple using CME 2 Windows® software, eliminating wire-and-try setup, the amplifier communicating with the setup computer via an RS232 link. It also notes that the industry-standard buffered encoder, 10-v torque command and all control signals are optically isolated.
