It’s been 15 years since the debut of Coraline, the macabre, stop-motion animated film based on author Neil Gaiman’s award-winning horror novella. In a marketing tie-in to the movie's limited-release August return to theaters, the Portland, OR-based Stumptown Coffee chain is launching a whimsical, limited edition Coraline-inspired can filled with Stumptown Coffee's nitro cold brew.

The can for this special-edition cold brew was developed in partnership with animation studio LAIKA, also Portland-based. Graphics feature images based on the film's otherworldly “fantastic garden” hidden landscape, applied using four-color spot, direct printing.

The cans are available in major grocery stores nationwide during the duration of the Coraline promotion while supplies last.

Stumptown will also commemorate the movie release with Coraline-inspired menu items, art installations at select stores in Portland, Pasadena, CA, and New York, and tie-in merchandise at the beanery's website.
