Menasha Pacakging receives Patriot Award for employer support of the Guard and Reserve

The presentation was led by Commander Mark W. Stewart, Navy Operations Support Center Commanding Officer, and LeRoy E. Frahm, Omsbudsman for the Wisconsin Committee of the ESGR. In addition, Mike Waite, President of Menasha Packaging, and Rick Calhoon, the company’s Director of Strategic Sourcing, were given individual Patriot Awards.The awards were initiated by Menasha Packaging’s employee, Len Hatton. “We’ve seen a lot of news over the last couple of years about the sacrifices being made by our reservists and families,” Commander Stewart said. “What often goes unnoticed is the contributions made by the businesses who make reservists available for annual training, drills and mobilizations. The support of the country’s employers ensures the viability of our nation’s all-volunteer force.”In accepting the award, Mike Waite, said, “It’s an honor to be able to support our military families and show our appreciation for the tremendous work they do. We feel it’s our patriotic duty and Menasha has been encouraging our employees’ military service throughout our company’s history. We intend to make sure that our company’s support for the nation’s security never wavers.”The ESGR is a Department of Defense organization that promotes a culture in which American employers support and value the military service of their employees. It operates through a network of more than 4,500 volunteers.

MAY 26, 2009Pliant Announces Expansion Plans for Dalton, GA Facility

for Desiccant Packet Production

EFI Takes Center Stage at Digital Label Summit in Barcelona
