Electronically controlled seamer makes U.S. debut at PACK EXPO

CFT Packaging USA, , owners of SBC Bottling & Canning,  introduces Flexyseam to the U.S market, a patented system that the company says is the first-ever seamer that is completely controlled electronically. (The machine was first publicly shown at the the Brau Bevial Trade Show in Germany.) All of the system's parameters are controlled directly through the operator panel enabling format changes, material changes (steel or aluminum cans) to be  programmed via "recipe" settings,  which store the parameters of the electronic cams, number of revolutions, with automatic and adjustment of the clearances of the seaming rolls.

This in addition to the use of  highly precise "brushless motors, the company says, ensures a high-level and consistent seam quality in varying working conditions; lower maintenance costs; and flexibility when working with a varying range of lid, can type, product and materials.
