Leading reusable packaging service providers will exhibit at RPA Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO

The Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) announced that 11 of the industry’s leading reusable packaging service providers will exhibit together at the RPA’s Reusable Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO International 2010, Oct. 31 – Nov. 3. The reusable packaging service providers that are exhibiting in the Pavilion are:

    * Container and Pooling Solutions (CAPS)
    * iGPS
    * The Kennedy Group
    * IFCO Systems
    * ORBIS Corporation
    * CHEP
    * Scholler Arca Systems, Inc.
    * Polymer Logistics
    * Rehrig Pacific Company
    * TriEnda
    * Buckhorn

The service providers are joining together with packaging suppliers within the RPA Reusable Packaging Pavilion to educate attendees about the economic and environmental benefits of integrating reusable packaging into their business-to-business supply chains. Together, the companies offer a wide range of services including asset management, tracking, cleaning, repair and others for handling and transporting commercial products, manufactured goods, produce, and food and beverage products safely and economically.

 “The role of service providers is becoming increasingly important as distribution networks grow more complex and span greater distances,” said Jon Kalin, RPA Chairman of the Board, and Sales and Marketing Manager for Rehrig Pacific. “Service providers ensure that the right reusable packaging is at the right place at the right time, and then returned promptly for replenishment. In addition, many providers are joining forces to address packaging asset loss due to theft or repurposing. Their role in addressing this issue, as well as the variety of services they provide, increase the value and return on investment of reusable packaging.”

“We are excited to participate in the RPA Pavilion at Pack Expo,” said Fred Heptinstall, former RPA President and general manager of IFCO’s RPC Management Services Division. “The participation of the RPA in this show is a unifying event for the returnable packaging industry."

The RPA Pavilion will be located in rows 5000, 5100 and 5200 on the main level of the Lakeside Center/East Building at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
