PMMI Operations Conference to focus on embracing change

PMMI’s 2011 Operations Conference ( March 8-10; Tampa, Fla.) will focus on “Embracing Change to Improve Your Operations,” and the search for conference presenters, who will speak directly to an audience of packaging operations professionals, is underway.

“This conference is an opportunity for packaging and processing end users to provide everyone from plant managers to corporate staff with real insight into how the industry is changing and how new technologies can create areas of opportunity to improve their plant operations,” said  Maria Ferrante, vice president, education & workforce development, PMMI.

Each presentation is expected to last 50 to 75 minutes and include an interactive component. Submissions must include the following information:

• Proposed title for session
• Proposed length of session
• Learning outcomes from the session (what will participants learn/do with the information you present)
• 100 word abstract providing overview of the session
• Outline of interactive exercise/activity you will facilitate as part of your presentation
• Proposed handouts – if you have any
• Speaker/s biography

All presentation proposals must be submitted by Nov. 19, 2010, and will be reviewed by an advisory panel of packaging professionals and PMMI management. Presenters are encouraged to develop workshop formats to engage attendees, encourage learning and facilitate discussion.

Abstracts that are commercial in nature will not be accepted.

Interested parties can submit an abstract at PMMI.org
