PMMI is adding a new interactive educational feature to PACK EXPO International 2008. The Sustainable Packaging Scorecard Information Center (Upper Lakeside, Booth # E-5839) will be staffed by a team of scorecard consultants and trainers who will offer free one-on-one consultations during the show.

The educational center is designed to give packagers and their packaging supply chain partners practical insight into implementing sustainability practices--a central component of this year's show and Conference at PACK EXPO theme, "Change, Innovation and Sustainability."

The Sustainable Packaging Scorecard Information Center will also present a daily schedule of live presentations on the scorecard at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm, and a display of packages CPG companies have restaged to conserve energy and materials.

Staffing the Sustainable Packaging Scorecard Information Center will be representatives of four Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM), Environmental Packaging International (EPI), Packaging Knowledge Group (PKG) and Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions (PTIS).

In keeping with the show's theme, over 500 exhibitors will display a green PACK EXPO icon in their booths, indicating that sustainability is a major element in their PACK EXPO presence.

In addition, Amy Zettlemoyer-Lazar, packaging director of Sam's Club and co-manager of the Wal-Mart Sustainability Value Network, will deliver a special Sunday afternoon (1:00-1:40 pm, Room S-105a) keynote presentation, "Keeping Score: How Wal-Mart and its Suppliers Continue to Advance Packaging Change, Innovation and Sustainability."

PMMI sponsors and produces PACK EXPO International, which is expected to draw some 45,000 attendees to McCormick Place next month.

The show will be held at McCormick Place, Chicago; Nov. 9-13.
