The Torayfan TreaTear LT52 and LT72 PP films are an expansion of the co.'s Torayfan TreaTear directional-tear PP sealant film line, introduced in 2010 for retort applications. The newly commercialized Torayfan TreaTear films are engineered for non-retort applications, CPGs and converters want to manufacture stand-up pouches that provide a virtually effortless, precise straight-line tear across the package every time, as well as offer improved rigidity and clarity. In addition, TreaTear LT52 and LT72 PP films perform as a drop-in sealant film for LDPE sealant web applications. The new films also enable flexibility with the overall lamination design, as well as compatibility with zippers, spouts, and other reclosable features.Toray Plastics (America) Inc., 401/294-4511.
