Graham Packaging completes acquisition of Liquid Container, L.P.
Graham Packaging Company Inc. t announced that its subsidiaries, Graham Packaging GP Acquisition LLC, and Graham Packaging LP Acquisition LLC, have completed the acquisition of Liquid Container, L.P. and its subsidiaries for $568.0 million.

Pactiv and Reynolds announce expiration of HSR waiting period for proposed merger
Pactiv Corporation and Reynolds Group Holdings Limited, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of consumer food and beverage packaging and storage products, announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, relating to Reynolds Group’s proposed merger with Pactiv, has expired, thereby satisfying a condition to the closing of the transaction. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2010.

Congressional honor awarded to Salazar Packaging
Salazar Packaging was honored at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s (CHCI) Public Policy Conference in Washington D.C. The company and its products were recognized by 22 members of Congress and six Cabinet secretaries at the closing plenary session titled “Green Economy, Leading the Way” during the Latino Innovation awards ceremony.
 
SCA enters into R&D cooperation
SCA has entered into a long-term cooperation agreement with BioGaia with the aim of developing new health-oriented products. The objective is to combine BioGaia’s expertise in the field of probiotic bacteria and applications technologies with SCA’s distribution network and know-how in the area of hygiene products.
