Clear Path Recycling reports initial start-up of PET recycling facility
Clear Path Recycling, LLC (CPR), the PET recycling joint venture company established by Shaw Industries Group, Inc. and DAK Americas LLC, announces that it has began processing operations in July. Created to produce Recycled PET (RPET) flake from post-consumer PET bottles, CPR will bring the first phase of its Fayetteville, N.C. facility to full capacity in the fourth quarter of this year.
RockTenn corrugated packaging, graphics and preprint facilities earn triple chain-of-custody certification
RockTenn announces that it has received triple chain-of-custody (CoC) certification for all of its corrugated packaging facilities including converting, graphics and preprint locations. Additionally, all facilities are certified to SFI’s fiber sourcing procurement requirements.
Kraton Polymers Announces European HSBC Price Increase
Kraton Polymers LLC, announces a general price increase in Europe, Africa and the Middle East of Euro 250 /MT for Kraton SEBS and SEPS based polymers and compounds across all markets and end-uses. Subject to the terms of any applicable contracts, these price increases will take effect September 1, 2010.
Cabot Corporation acquires Oxonica Materials Inc.
Cabot Corporation announced the acquisition of Oxonica Materials Inc., (OMI) a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxonica plc. The purchase will complement Cabot's existing Security Business and expands Cabot's portfolio of security technologies. OMI is a leading developer of Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) materials and detection methods. These SERS materials provide a unique signal that can be detected using specialized readers and therefore provide highly counterfeit-resistant security solutions for a broad range of applications including brand security, fuel markers, tax stamps and identification.
