Paperboard Packaging Council welcomes new members
One new principal member and one new associate member originally from the North American Packaging Association (NAPA), recently joined the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) as part of the recent merger between PCC and NAPA. Founded in 1909, Pollard Boxes Ltd. (www.pollardboxes.co.uk) of Leicester, England joined PPC as a principal member and is one of the largest rigid boxmakers in Europe. Newman & Co., Inc. (www.newmanpaperboard.com) of Philadelphia, PA recently joined PPC as an associate member. For more than 90 years, they have provided quality paperboard products and a complete line of converting services.
 
N.C. State professor Martin Hubbe named TAPPI Fellow for 2010
Martin A. Hubbe, Ph.D., has been designated as one of nine TAPPI Fellows for 2010.  He currently serves as Professor at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., USA. Fellow is an honorary title bestowed upon less than one percent of TAPPI’s membership. It is given to individuals who have made extraordinary technical or service contributions to the industry and/or the Association.

B&R Industrial Automation’s Kowal elected to OMAC Board of Directors
John Kowal, longstanding OMAC member and Market Development Manager for B&R Industrial Automation, was elected to a 3-year term on the OMAC Board of Directors during the group’s annual meeting at the ARC Automation Forum in Orlando, Flordia.
