BWAY announces acquisition of Plastican, Inc.
BWAY Holding Company announced that the Company has acquired Plastican, Inc., a leading U.S. producer of injection molded plastic containers, in a stock purchase transaction. Plastican, headquartered in Leominster, MA, produces a wide range of innovative plastic pails used for packaging industrial and consumer products. The Company operates four manufacturing plants located in Leominster, MA, Macon, GA, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix AZ, and generated net sales of $90 million in 2009.

Cereplast to deliver feature presentation at 2010 Biopolymers Symposium
Cereplast, Inc. announced that its Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Robert Findlen, will deliver a featured presentation at IntertechPira’s 2010 Biopolymers Symposium to be held on October 11 through 13, 2010 at The Westin Tabor Center in Denver, Colorado.

PlastiPure and ReliaBrand partner to create EA-free packaging products
PlastiPure, has announced a partnership with ReliaBrand to license infant feeding, sports bottle, food packaging and medical products free of chemicals that cause estrogenic activity (EA). Under the agreement, PlastiPure will develop, test, and certify PlastiPure-Safe EA-Free products for ReliaBrand release in late 2010 and 2011. This broad suite of products should retain the key benefits that originally attracted consumers to these brands, with the additional benefit of avoiding chemicals with EA.
