Scott D. Seehawer named president of TRI-TRONICS
Scott D. Seehawer has been promoted to the position of President of TRI-TRONICS COMPANY, INC. Since 1995, he has held the positions of Electrical Engineer, Director of Engineering, VP of Engineering, and most recently Senior VP of Operations. Seehawer is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and also graduated with honors from their MBA program. He holds several patents through the TRI-TRONICS Company.

Placon announces sheet extruder and recycling facility
Placon Corporation announced that it will construct a closed-loop recycling facility to grind and wash post-consumer bottles and thermoforms for processing into its EcoStar sheet products. The company is reducing the total carbon footprint by bringing the material supply chain closer to production and offering its customers more choices of materials, including up to 100% post-consumer content polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

Cereplast enters exclusive distribution agreement with Kuala Lumpur-Based CRS Technologies to supply bioplastic resins
Cereplast, Inc. announced that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Kuala Lumpur-based CRS Technologies Sdn. Bhd. to supply bioplastic resins in Malaysia. This new agreement supports CRS Technologies’ goal of expanding its product line by offering its custom sustainable solutions for functional plastic coatings in various applications.
