Dow builds new $17 million emulsion plant in Zhangjiagang ChinaDow Coating Materials announced a major investment in its Chinese manufacturing footprint — a new $17 million dollar emulsion plant located at the company’s Zhangjiagang site in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu. The new plant comes on the heels of significant market growth in the greater Shanghai region, as Dow Coating Materials continues its practice of inventing, manufacturing and launching products specifically for the needs of the Chinese coatings market. The facility will also supply products for Dow’s Adhesives and Functional Polymers business as well as the Building and Construction Business Unit.
Tredegar appoints new Chairman of the Board; Moretti named Vice President of corporation
Tredegar Corporation has appointed R. Gregory Williams, an independent director since 2002 and president of CCA Financial Services, LLC, based in Richmond, as Chairman of the Board, succeeding Richard L. Morrill, who will continue as a member of the Board of Directors. The company has also named Monica Moretti vice president, effective immediately. Ms. Moretti also serves as president of Tredegar Film Products.

Kraton Polymers announces price increases
Kraton Polymers LLC announces a general price increase in Europe, Africa and the Middle East of Euro 200 /MT for Kraton SBS and OE SBS polymers and compounds. Subject to the terms of any applicable contracts, these price increases will take effect June 1, 2010. The company also announced a general price increase in Europe, Africa and the Middle East of Euro 200 /MT for Kraton SIS and SIBS polymers across all markets and end-uses.
