Smurfit-Stone President and Chief Operating Officer Steven J. Klinger announces resignation
Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer Steven J. Klinger has announced his intent to resign from the company, effective December 31, 2010.  Klinger will also resign from the company's Board of Directors. Smurfit-Stone's Board of Directors announced in August they have launched a search for a CEO successor to Moore, who has announced his intent to retire.

Smurfit-Stone promotes Craig A. Hunt to Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel
Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation’s Board of Directors has named Craig A. Hunt to the position of chief administrative officer and general counsel, effective November 1.  Hunt currently serves as senior vice president, secretary and general counsel.

Nordson Corporation appoints James E. DeVries to VP of Global Continuous Improvement
Nordson Corporation announced the appointment of James E. DeVries to the newly created enterprise-level position of Vice President of Global Continuous Improvement. Reporting directly to Nordson President and CEO Michael F. Hilton, DeVries will be tasked with driving profitable growth in all operating segments through elevation of Nordson’s ongoing continuous improvement and margin enhancement efforts. DeVries will build and lead a global team tasked with setting productivity goals, defining key metrics, ensuring overall process consistency across the company, and leading large enterprise step-change projects.

Pro Mach, Inc., has appointed Luke Barber, Business Development Manager. Mr. Barber is an experienced finance and business development professional who will be working with Pro Mach leadership to identify growth opportunities, including potential strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

Multi Packaging Solutions joins EPA’s Green Power Partnership
Multi Packaging Solutions, Inc. has joined the EPA’s Green Power Partnership. This voluntary program promotes corporate responsibility and environmental leadership to help mitigate the risk of climate change by supporting the development of new sources of renewable energy.
        
Graphic Packaging increases prices on coated recycled and coated unbleached kraft paperboard
Graphic Packaging International, Inc. (GPI), a subsidiary of Graphic Packaging Holding Company announced a price increase of $40 per ton for its Pacesetter coated recycled board (CRB), and a price increase of $40 per ton on its SUS coated unbleached Kraft paperboard (CUK), effective with shipments on or after Dec. 1, 2010. The SUS board increase effects GPI's coated folding carton grades, Omni-Kite and Pearl-Kite, as well as its carrier grade, Aqua-Kite.
