Alcoa joins the Sustainability Consortium
Alcoa together with Alcoa Foundation, announced that Alcoa has become a founding member of the Sustainability Consortium, an independent group of global organizations working to drive sustainability in products through all lifecycle stages. The consortium is composed of scientists and engineers from leading universities, governments, non-government organizations and businesses, who are working to develop lifecycle analysis tools and methodologies.
Richmond wholesale picks EcoLogic for biodegradable packaging
Richmond Wholesale has announced it is moving to biodegradable packaging as a key element of its Richmond Wholesale Sustainable Packaging Initiative. Richmond has entered into an agreement with Oakbrook, IL-based EcoLogic LLC. The plan calls for the EcoPure additive sold by EcoLogic to be in 100% of all plastic packaging Richmond purchases.
Clondalkin Group appoints CEO to Specialist Packaging Division
International packaging producer Clondalkin Group has appointed Mark Rooney as chief operating officer for its Specialist Packaging Division. Rooney will be responsible for the implementation of operational plans for the division’s 14 operating companies and will drive the performance of its key assets to ensure optimal efficiency across the division.
