Irving Place Capital to acquire Alpha Packaging
Irving Place Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, announced that it has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Alpha Packaging, a blow molder of plastic bottles and jars for the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and personal care markets. IPC is investing in partnership with Alpha’s current management team, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Spence and Chief Operating Officer Dan Creston. The transaction is expected to close in September of 2010.

Eriez introduces mobile training and education center
Eriez, a specialist in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory and inspection applications, introduces its latest resource: Orange University, a mobile training and education center designed for hands-on demonstrations and customer workshops.  Orange University is designed to educate visitors and help them determine the best process equipment solutions and the appropriate cutting edge technologies available for their applications.  

Hadera Paper Ltd. commences full tender offer for cash for Carmel Container Systems
Hadera Paper Ltd. announced that it is commencing a tender offer to purchase 186,704 ordinary shares of Carmel Container Systems Ltd  for $22.50 per share, in cash, less any required withholding taxes and without interest. Carmel designs and manufactures paper-based packaging and related products. In October 1986, Carmel completed its initial public offering and listed its shares on Amex. Carmel's Shares were traded on Amex under the symbol "KML" until their delisting in 2005.

Styron names Richard J. Diemer Jr. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Richard J. Diemer Jr. has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Styron. Diemer was previously the Senior Vice President and CFO of Albemarle Corporation, a $2.5 B specialty chemical company. Celso Goncalves, who is currently CFO of Styron, will remain with the company through year-end to ensure a smooth transition. At the same time, George Osborne joins Styron as Vice President and Controller with responsibility for all controllership matters, including accounting policy and application, financial reporting, and internal control.

Casey Container Corp. names Elite Financial Communications Group as investor and public relations counsel
Casey Container Corp. announced the appointment of Elite Financial Communications Group, LLC as the Company's Investor and Public Relations counsel of record. In collaboration with Casey Container's senior leadership team, Elite is charged with developing, implementing and supporting a fully integrated corporate and shareholder communications platform. Dodi Handy, President and CEO of Elite, will lead the IR/PR team and provide strategic counsel.
