Rexam appoints Malcolm Harrison as Group Director Plastic Packaging
Rexam PLC, the world’s second largest consumer packaging group, announces that Malcolm Harrison has been named as the Group Director Plastic Packaging. Harrison brings to Rexam a wealth of international management knowledge and experience from a career spent in the food and beverage industry. In this position, he will lead the company’s efforts to focus its global plastic packaging resources on creating value-added product and service solutions that help customers build their brands and businesses. Harrison will become a member of the Group’s Executive Leadership Team and will report directly to Graham Chipchase, chief executive, Rexam PLC.
Spencer Ball appointed Creative Director at Anthem Worldwide
Anthem Worldwide announced the appointment of Spencer Ball to the post of creative director at its Singapore office. In this role, Mr. Ball will assume creative leadership of strategic design assignments for the Asian market and global network assignments that leverage Anthem's Singapore design talent.
Spartech announces plans for new technology and innovation center in St. Louis
Spartech Corporation, a producer of plastic sheet, compounds, and packaging products, announced the formation of a new technology center in St. Louis, Missouri. The new facility will bring together their material development, product development and packaging technology centers into one location. The new Center will expand to an 80,000 to 100,000 square foot facility and will include a full complement of technology and lab capabilities to support Spartech's advancement of integrated technologies in material science, extrusion technologies, and packaging products. Spartech plans to be operational in a facility in St. Louis by mid-summer 2010.
